EDITORIAL INTERNSHIPS. If you have a strong interest in progressive politics and independent publishing, and can work at least three days a week in our Chicago office, why not volunteer at In These Times? Depending on experience, our interns fact-check, proofread and research articles and get bylines. When applying, please indicate when you are able to start. We are currently accepting applications for fall internships, which begin in late August or early September.

PUBLISHING INTERNSHIPS. Depending on experience, publishing interns work on press releases, event coordination, or donor/grant prospecting. Interns should have high-quality writing and research skills, attention to detail and knowledge of basic office software. Familiarity with FileMaker Pro and Donor Perfect a definite plus. Individuals with experience in marketing, event-planning, nonprofit management and fundraising are strongly encouraged to apply. Internships are 2-3 days per week for four months and begin in May, September and January.
