The quote regarding Bernie Sanders: “Bernie supports allowing states to require labels on foods containing ‘genetically modified organisms’ (GMOs) based on the consumer’s right-to-know, but does not believe that GMOs are necessarily bad.” This is from a website that does not officially represent Bernie Sanders official statements and views; it is essentially a website run by a pro-GMO supporter who has ... put words into Bernie's mouth, as it were. This article needs to have a clarification to correct this, as it is an inaccurate source. There are no official statements from Sanders that suggest "Bernie does not believe that GMOs are necessarily bad." In fact, his record clearly suggests he does NOT feel that way at all.
From this farmers perspective, Clinton's promise to double funding for the programs mentioned above is spit in the wind. If Hillary is elected the revolving door that exists between the White House and the likes of Monsatan will continue to spin and lobbyists for Big Food will continue to push regulations through congress that squeeze out small farmers. Only Bernie Sanders will work to level the playing field for locally oriented farmers.
Monsanto will be thrilled if Hillary gets in.
