What warming? We have not seen any statistically significant warming in the satellite records for 16 years and the only major warming in the surface data is coming from adjustments to the raw data.

Three major advances to reduce Global Warming for Humanity!
http://www.extremetech.com/ext…
IBM Lithium /Air battery, and the cusp
of the “Electron Age” for all mankind!
“IBM showed off its first lithium-air
battery — a light-weight, ultra-high-density battery that should
eventually find a home in electric cars,”
“IBM’s li-air
battery actually breathes — it uses oxygen in the atmosphere to
create lithium peroxide and electricity, and then when it’s
recharged the oxygen is released. Because it offloads so much “work”
to the atmosphere, the energy density (kilowatt-hours per kilogram)
of IBM’s lithium-air battery is 15 times greater than conventional
li-ion — and, more importantly, as energy-dense as gasoline.”

“The new lights use as little
electricity as LED bulbs — and half as much as fluorescent lamps —
while giving off a comfortable white light.”
“The glowing panels may be coming to stores soon. Wake Forest University, where
many of the light’s creators are based, is working with a company to develop commercial versions of the bulbs that may go on sale as early as 2013.”

All: Good news, All: environmental improvements. All more efficient! Cheaper!
IBM’s Battery advances heralds in the age of the Electric car “ballast” for the existing power grids the world over, and makes more practical the Solar, Wind, Wave power sources, and will supplement “Peak Power Demand” for cleaner more efficient benign waste creating, cheap mass producible expensive pressure dome free, plentiful Thorium systems from China, possibly completely replacing fossil fuel “Peak Power Plants”. The new lights use even less electricity for a given light output and have an expected lifespan better than the very expensive LED’s or CFL’s. Marks the end of inefficient lighting for the world, and a reduction in power demand for certain.

Many thanks for this powerful story. And people will be encouraged to know, I think, that there are already divestment movements on 192 campuses—check out gofossilfree.org to see which ones. And it’s spreading fast to churches—here’s a story that came out today in the Christian Century
