The issue of incarcerating minor felons has nothing to do with Tamms. Tamms was built to house inmates who, while in prison, assaulted officers, trafficked contraband, called hits (murders) of staff…. The fact that politicians pass laws to lock up too many people for too minor issues is a separate issue. Those who support closing Tamms would be in character to attend the funeral of ever C/O who loses his life as a consequence of their prevailing of opinion.
