Posted by patrick hattman on May 28, 2009 at 11:54 PM I fear you’re right. It’s a thought provoking article - but it does give rather a sense of futility. I can understand that it’s important to start the climb but the overriding sense is that nuclear prolification is only going to be slowed down at best.
I wonder how many less states would seek nuclear armament if the big players relinquished theirs? The thought of disarming would have been unthinkable to me years ago - but now it seems to make more sense to me as I get older.
