A pundit mr Sirota is not.Political prognostications from those who are big sky people tend to be as expansive as their horizons and could benifit from a dollop of humility.

When will all the gun madness stop.Instead of running off and trying to make the streets of IRAQ SAFE WHY CAN'T WE get rid of the guns on our streets. I would feel so much safer if we were weaponless. How safe do you feel when the person riding next to you on the subway has a concealed weapon, the person at the laundromat is packing heat, the person at the sporting event has a popper. Let's let it hang out but let's not give every poor slob the ability to take another's life. Peace.

if the modalities of a gun ban are in place a murderer will have no choice but to observe a gun ban because guns will not be available. Secondly a free press is really a sham anyway and what does it have to with a gun ban

if we don't believe governments can effect change is the attempt to bring a democratic government to Iraq a legitamate policy option.Me thinks a gun ban would be considerably easier ,less costly and ultimately more pleasing.Think how many americans are slaughtered each month with weapons of mass destruction.LET THE BAN BEGIN

I saw mr Sirota on The Colbert Report.I' wonder if he might tell us alittle bit about that. How bout it.Colbert appears to be as hyper active as skitter bug.Mr Sirota was pretty good on T.V. and I bet he was a little nervous. He came off pretty good and I hope sells some books.

I can't say enough about this book. The readers of in these times should really make an effort to check it out.Giddins worked for over six years researching and writing her efforts should be applauded. It may run a little long but it runs deep.

What is the deal with Mr. Sirota? He seems to the flavor of every day? He certainly is prolific but is his thoughts can be somewhat mundane. Lets open things up, shake things up,and dance. There are other voices we would appreciate hearing. Once or twice a month is more than enough!

Washingtons comments on the composition of the presscorp strike me as somewhat anacronistic. The complexity and vapidity of the media landscape seems to suggest that we need to do more than reflect ourselves in a mirror .The media needs to communicate a message that speaks to the richness and diversity of the country in which we live.
