Frankly, the network looks like another attempt to revive the Democratic Party from the left. Or, worse, like a way for moderate Democrats to capture media to the left of them before those media get (any further) out of hand. I'm reminded of the constant efforts of moderate Democrats to "professionalize" Pacifica Foundation and its radio stations. I noticed that the media network has no mention of journalists (except for bloggers).
