As usual, Armentano makes a valid argument. Screw decriminalization; legalize and regulate! The reason I take this stance (viewed as extreme by some) is that decriminalization does nothing to remove the profits and associated violence from black marketeers. I think most people realize cannabis is relatively harmless. Those that don't are simply ignorant or biased. If cannabis was marketed as an alternative to alcohol, violence would drop in this country. There would be more peace. Drug warriors and politicians couldn't have that, now could they?
