I’m only hoping The ‘Report will now invite Wexler to appear as a guest on the show and allow viewers the opportunity to see what a really great guy he is and what he actually stands for. There was so much distortion in the media and resulting right wing frenzy as fallout—it must be remembered that the vast majority of voters in Florida and the rest of the country don’t watch or understand the concept of Colbert’s program and all they know is just what they are fed through the filters of newspapers and TV—mediums that are conservative by their very nature as is Palm Beach County, I might add.
I think it would be appropos if Congressman Wexler were to appear next month (before the elections) as the Ivy Meeropol documentary “The Hill” premieres on cable.

“know-nothing” media, I like that. :-) It says everything that is so wrong with our media in so few words!
Genius TV, and also hilarious. The guy is a master of political satire, using the words of his critics to make them look utterly idiotic and rediculous. Of course, the targets are members of the “know nothing” media, and are very easy targets, but even with such lame targets he does an incredible job creating this bit of “extreme” humor. :-)
And then there was blogging: The ITT List offers all the news that isn't fit to print, from In These Times's staff, writers and friends.
