George Carlin’s 7 Dirty Words Case To Be Reconsidered?

By Brian Zick
Jeremy Pelofsky for Reuters reports "TV stations challenge FCC profanity decisions."

The FCC has relied on the 1978 Supreme Court decision FCC v. Pacifica Foundation in justifying its recent attempts to censor and punish certain broadcast content. The networks think the times have done some changin', and are taking the FCC to court.

Purely for the sake of journalistic clarity and edification, the sevens words in legal question are listed: shit, piss, fuck, cunt, cocksucker, motherfucker, tits. (Not to be confused with that other memory-challenging list of seven Doc, Happy, Bashful, Sneezy, Sleepy, Grumpy, Dopey.)
