Rep. Baker of Baton Rouge is overheard telling lobbyists: "We finally cleaned up public housing in New Orleans. We couldn't do it, but God did."
Baker explains later he didn't intend flippancy but has long wanted to improve low-income housing.

Obviously Baker is another one of those “compassionate conservatives”.
Those innocent victims of this crass, corporate-fascist government now in control of my country, should know that they did not die in vain. They made the ultimate sacrifice which shows Emperor Cheney, his front man, Bush, and their fellow idealogues to be without clothes.
I thank them, and wish them eternal peace.
Here’s to the death of conservativism which is simply a mask for “I got mine, screw you”.
Close… It’s more like “I EARNED mine, screw you.” Silly liberal paychecks are for the employed!
