Philly Mayor John Street Pushes Wireless Cloud
A good move for breaking down the digital divide. Residents still need to purchase hardware, but an ISP costs significantly more than a $50 Wi-Fi card. Throw in some cheaper Wi-Fi phone handsets and you've got a complelely transparent, public telecommunications network. This really seems inevitable, doesn't it?
