33,700 Minnesota ballots could change outcome of Senate race

By Jarrett Dapier
According to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, there are approximately 33,700 ballots in the Franken-Coleman race that could affect the outcome after a hand recount. Three counties that broke for Obama by 60% returned thousands of ballots on which a preference for president was marked, but not for senator, indicating, among other possibilities, that optical scanners failed. Looks like Franken has a sizable number of uncounted votes out there that could put him over the top in this race. Commence the re-tally.
