Contempt Proceedings: Keeping Count
Harriet Miers isn't the only one who may suffer contempt of Congress proceedings. Paul Kiel at TPM Muckraker reports that Josh Bolton, White House Chief of Staff, is the individual to whom a subpoena was issued demanding documents related to the prosecutor purge. Contempt for failure to comply with the subpoena would be his burden to bear. And Judiciary Chairman Conyers has stated that the committee may conduct contempt proceedings against RNC Chairman Robert Duncan, for refusing to comply with a subpoena for documents regarding White House use of RNC email accounts. And ex-Rove aide Sara Taylor isn't off the hook yet either.
