I'm so scared that this is exactly where Haiti is going next. Why is it that this sort of capitalism is still endorsed by the US private financiers? There has to be another broad based revenue strategy that doesn't completely exploit labor and resources and increases poverty for the masses. I just can't believe that this refurbished brand of colonialism still persists with impunity.
I'm so scared. Haiti is next. We have a right-wing president-put in power by the US and elite families. They just won a majority in the House of Deputies and will vote for anything the right wing idiot proposes. Privatization is the golden savior for the poorest countries in the Americas. That's the remedy they have for us.
How do you fight rich landowners with no loyalty to anything and who can hire your neighbor to kill you for $100 for any act of public dissent towards their plutocratic rule? How do you proceed to protect your way of life as a compesino and native of the land?
I'm so scared for my beloved Haiti.
Sounds like the CSA. The Corporate States of America....it already owns Congress and has sold the people out entirely.
