Not content with the pronouncements from self-appointed judges of the public mind, in the void of established research data, Dan Froomkin wonders what the public really thinks about censure. And he suggests taking a poll. He refers to a post by the Mystery Pollster, who observes that a threshold has now been crossed, whereby the criteria that pollsters claim to require when considering whether to include a topic in national news media polls has been met. (It was mentioned in all the major 'mainstream' newspapers and at least two cable news networks (CNN and Fox).)
Sample questions about censure posed by CBS News, ABC News, Harris and Gallup are all noted - which were asked about censure of Bill Clinton.
