Jen visted Steve in the hospital this evening, and reports The first thing I noticed was that his skin tone was MUCH better. He had been all dry and ashy and flaking, and the inside of his mouth had looked like some kind of thrush was going on. Now he almost looked borderline healthy, and his teeth and gums looked much better as well. Also, his vocal cords were in much better shape, and while he could only still gasp out words, his tone was much better.
Best news yet: Gilly can actually sort of twitch and move his RIGHT LEG. We're still working on that right arm, which still seems pretty dead, but my feeling is that if they got ANY response on that side they will eventually get the arm on board. Now, all of his muscles are very weak--even with his "good" side, his grip is very very weak and he has tremors, but it's moving. There's a PayPal donation button at the link if you can afford to give Steve a little help.
