Chris Hedges, cur­rent­ly a senior fel­low at The Nation Insti­tute and a lec­tur­er in the Coun­cil of the Human­i­ties, spent near­ly two decades report­ing in Cen­tral Amer­i­ca, the Mid­dle East, Africa and the Balka­ns. He shared a Pulitzer Prize at The New York Times for the paper’s cov­er­age of glob­al ter­ror­ism, and is the author of I Don’t Believe in Athe­ists and War is a Force that Gives Us Mean­ing.
