David Simon, a reporter on the Baltimore Sun city desk for 12 years, is the creator of the acclaimed HBO television series The Wire, for which he served as executive producer and head writer for six years. Most recently, he has adapted the nonfiction book Generation Kill into an HBO miniseries.
