William Minter is the edi­tor of AfricaFo­cus Bul­letin, an inde­pen­dent elec­tron­ic pub­li­ca­tion on African issues. His most recent book, co-edit­ed with Gail Hov­ey and Charles Cobb, Jr., is No Easy Vic­to­ries: African Lib­er­a­tion and Amer­i­can Activists over a Half Cen­tu­ry, 1950 – 2000 (Africa World Press, 2007). 
Daniel Vol­man is the direc­tor of the African Secu­ri­ty Research Project in Wash­ing­ton, D.C., and a mem­ber of the board of direc­tors of the Asso­ci­a­tion of Con­cerned Africa Scholars.
