William Minter is the editor of AfricaFocus Bulletin, an independent electronic publication on African issues. His most recent book, co-edited with Gail Hovey and Charles Cobb, Jr., is No Easy Victories: African Liberation and American Activists over a Half Century, 1950 – 2000 (Africa World Press, 2007). 
Daniel Volman is the director of the African Security Research Project in Washington, D.C., and a member of the board of directors of the Association of Concerned Africa Scholars.
