Oh My God!

Joel Bleifuss

Dr. W. David Hager is author of As Jesus Cared for Women: Restoring Women Then and Now. As a practicing OB/GYN, he refuses to prescribe contraceptives to unmarried women, and he advises women suffering from premenstrual syndrome to read the Bible and pray. He is also an ardent opponent of the “morning after” pill RU-486. Another crackpot? No, Hager is President Bush’s choice to head up the FDA’s Reproductive Health Drugs Advisory Committee, which regulates drugs and devices used in obstetrics, gynecology and contraception.
