The Libby verdict isn't the big news this morning.
David Kurtz at TPM reports from today's hearings. Cummins, McKay, and Iglesias all said that they would have opened an obstruction investigation based on the phone call to Cummins from Michael Elston, the chief of staff to Deputy Attorney General Paul McNulty--if they were still in office Paul Kiel at TPM Muckraker has video of Bud Cummins' testimony about his conversation with Elston.
The TPM document collection now includes the email from U.S. Attorney Bud Cummins to other fired prosecutors, alerting them to his conversation with Elston.
