Congrats to the White Sox. Boo to the “four more wins” mantra.

Anna Schneider

This blog actually written by our hard working intern A. Staley Groves After the White Sox fourth victory over the Angels last week, the slogan "four more wins" spontaneously rose among supporters. This struck me as eerily similar to the "four more years" chant by Bush's faithful during last year's presidential election. Sports has always held that "opiate of the masses" feel for me, and now I'm left wondering what this says about the state of the American polity.
