Josh Marshall reports that Michael Battle, the executive director of the Executive Office for United States Attorneys and the guy who nominally was the official who fired the prosecutors, has resigned. Josh notes a simply amazing coincidence: "The DOJ spokesman insists Battle's "departure is not connected to the U.S. attorney controversy whatsoever."
