Firedoglake to Blog the Libby Trial

Brian Zick

Christy Hardin Smith at firedoglake has announced the acquisition of a press pass (availability of which is limited), and that she, along with Marcy Wheeler (aka Emptywheel) of The Next Hurrah, will head up a rotating crew of blog associates to cover the trial proceedings. The trial is scheduled to start January 16. Christy and Marcy are two of the most knowledgable people on the planet, with regard to the exposure of Valerie Plame and related matters. They will provide reporting on, and analysis of, the trial virtually guaranteed to be amongst the very best to be found anywhere. They are working to secure a sublet apartment for a couple months (less expensive than a hotel), and have structured a pretty tight budget for travel and food. But it ain't gonna be cheap. They're looking at $12,000.00 in costs overall. So they would all be extremely grateful for any contributions that can be made, to help them pay for the enterprise. Click here to get to firedoglake, and in the upper right corner of the page you'll find a PayPal button. Thanks in advance.
