Harry Reid Strikes Back?

Brian Zick

This could be fun! John Aravosis at AMERICAblog calls attention to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid having hired an attorney specializing in libel law, to "respond to a story by The Associated Press that was critical of a Las Vegas land deal involving the senator." Ex-AP (now WaPo) reporter John Solomon's two hit pieces on Reid were totally debunked by Josh Marhall and Paul Kiel at TPM, among others. Solomon recently got spanked by the Post's ombudser Debbie Howell, for a nothing-there piece with which Solomon had tried (and failed miserably) to impugn John Edward's character.

In this new book, longtime organizers and movement educators Mariame Kaba and Kelly Hayes examine the political lessons of the Covid-19 pandemic and its aftermath, including the convergence of mass protest and mass formations of mutual aid. Let This Radicalize You answers the urgent question: What fuels and sustains activism and organizing when it feels like our worlds are collapsing?
