Could the longtime professional journalist, executive editor of the Washington Post online, really be so much more poorly equipped to make background inquiries than a bunch of amateurs with day jobs, who spend an hour or so in their spare time after dinner, before going to bed, simply typing a guy's name and hitting the return key?
