Memorial Race Car

Brian Zick

Actor/photographer Kevyn Major Howard sponsors a novel memorial to the fallen troops in Iraq, and he also works to call more deserving attention to young men and women of the armed forces who haven't died. Howard has created the Flagship Memorial Race Car Team, which drag races a 1963 Chevy Nova. Instead of sponsor logos, the car is adorned with the names of those who've lost their lives in the war. Yesterday, at a backyard barbecue gathering of friends and acquaintances, Howard announced that the car is going to Baghdad, where it will make some demonstration runs on the airport tarmac.
