Paul Kiel at TPM Muckraker reports about a radio call in question that caught John McCain totally unprepared, regarding his recent hire of ethically challenged senior aide Terry Nelson (linked here March 20)

what is rather noteworthy is how McCain's immediate reaction was to insist that the caller's charges were untrue - although the "charges" were just the caller's observation that Nelson was explicitly named in the DeLay money laundering indictment, and that he served as supervisor of James Tobin, who was convicted in the New England phone jamming case - both quite unequivocally true
