Mcjoan at dailykos reports the committee vote tied, which means the amendment to protect net neutrality was defeated. GOP Chair Stevens has said he doesn't have the 60 votes he needs to guarantee his bill's passage, so it may not make it to the floor. Sen. Wyden has said he'll put a hold on any anti-net neutrality legislation.
Matt Stoller at MyDD notes the Dems remained unified under intense lobbying from the telecoms. And if the bill comes to the floor, there will be a fight.
Matt provides Senate contact info, saying "It's important to keep the pressure up prior to the floor fight."
Update2:
McJoan reports Senator Wyden has announced his hold on the telecom bill "until a provision that provides true Internet neutrality is included."
