Two days ago, Desperation Joe Lieberman flippity-flopped on the Bolton nomination, saying he now supports the mustachioed one as US Ambassador to the UN. The ploy was a baldly cynical appeal to Connecticut's isolationist conservative Republicans, with the plus for Joe that he was simultaneously sticking his thumb in the eyes of Senate Democrats who had twice successfully tharted Bolton's nomination. One pair of those eyes belong to the popular senior Senator from Connecticut, Chris Dodd, who had led the opposition to Bolton. Today Ned Lamont released a new campaign ad.
