One Froggy Evening
Directed by Chuck Jones for Warner Bros. and released in 1956, this is the solitary cartoon appearance of Michigan J. Frog (who was given his name later). It is a parable of frustrated opportunity and failed expectations. Much like a silent movie, the story is told entirely by the action and has no dialog; the frog's singing is the only voice heard. Jones said that of all his pictures, this was his favorite.
Story: Michael Maltese
Animation: Abe Levitow, Richard Thompson, Ken Harris, Ben Washam
Layouts: Robert Gribbroek
Backgrounds: Philip DeGuard
