Porky Pig's Feat
This 1943 Warner Bros. cartoon was directed by Frank Tashlin. Tashlin (who also directed for Disney and Columbia studios) is noted for his many and versatile talents and innovative film-making. Besides his cartoon direction, he wrote and directed several feature films.
Leonard Maltin, in his book Of Mice and Magic, describes this cartoon as Tashlin’s “masterpiece at Warner’s.” Both plot gags and visuals are funny and distinctive. And the gag for the ending is quite unexpected.
Story: Melvin Millar
Animation: Phil Monroe
Musical Direction: Carl Stalling
