In a segment from CNN’s documentary “The N Word”, LeVar Burton, of Reading Rainbow fame, describes how he avoids getting shot when pulled over by police. In the same segment, white author Tim Wise relates a story in which a police officer actually helped him break into his own car after he was locked out, without Wise providing any identification.
