Steve passed away this morning. His insight, wisdom, knowledge of history, and forthrightness made him one of the pioneering greats in the birth of blogs. He got started with regular posts in the early years at dailykos before establishing The News Blog. He will be well and fondly remembered. update: Markos recalls Steve's contributions.
