Paul Kiel at TPM Muckraker says that "Rove and others in his office" are particular targets of the investigation by the Office of Special Counsel (mentioned here previously) that has been undertaken. update: Steve Soto explains why he has big doubts about the quality and character of this investigation. update 2: Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) echos Soto, and details its suspicions of Scott Bloch, who heads the Office of Special Counsel. The fact that OSC has been charged with handling these matters suggests the possibility that the White House is orchestrating a cover-up of its illegal and improper activities.
