All three of the telecoms named in the USA Today story on NSA phone data collection have, in various ways, denied (or rather perhaps "denied") any participation with the NSA in such a nasty warrantless violation of the Fourth Amendment. Steve Soto ponders some of the various alternative possibilities, and Josh Marshall believes he detects the foul oder of linguistic excrement.
