On The Daily Show, Jon Stewart played video of a reporter asking Tony Snow about the obvious falseness of previous White House claims - including what Snow himself had said "on camera" - regarding the alleged "performance" reasons for the firing of the federal prosecutors. Snow denied he had ever said that politics was not involved, or that the firings were "based on performance." Stewart then played video from some months ago, wherein Snow says, "It's pretty clear that these things are based on performance, and not on sort of attempts to do political retaliation, if you will."
Norm at onegoodmove has the clip.
