Matthew O'Rourke, for the Tribune Newspapers: Los Angeles Times, reports A gay role at Easter egg roll; Gay, lesbian families in capital for event.
"And on Friday, gay and lesbian families began staking their claim to a piece of the White House turf, traveling to the nation's capital from around the country to stand in line for tickets. About 15,000 free tickets are scheduled to be issued on a first-come, first-serve basis beginning at 7:30 a.m. Saturday. The egg roll will be held Monday, weather permitting."

The Republic of T. is pleased to have picked up his family's tickets for the festivities this morning, after members of his group had been waiting in line since 3pm Friday. But not for the 8 AM start of the Monday event. The tickets for everyone in his gay-family group are for noon.
After acquiring the tickets, he was interviewed by a reporter for D.C.’s channel 4, and asked what he thought of the time switch.
Gosh, did the White House reserve the morning tickets for selectively favored audiences, typical of the way "all " Americans have routinely been welcomed/screened for ideological purity at Bush's public events? Hmmm. I wonder.
