Now that Whole Foods CEO John Mackey has upped the stakes this week and branded Obamacare as “fascist” (rather than “socialist,” his 2009 word-of-choice), his next task is to convince Whole Foods’ left-leaning clientele of the merits of free-market capitalism. What’s his game plan? His new book Conscious Capitalism: Liberating the Heroic Spirit of Business is on shelves now along with a 20-stop book tour through April 17. In this CBS interview, Mackey addresses his “bad choice of words” by explaining that, actually, “fascism” is a choice word — as long as you forget its “association with dictatorships.”
