Candidates Debate Campaign Finance, the Drug War and Drones

This week, there was a presidential debate in which the candidates addressed climate change, gay rights, the war on drugs, Citizens United, drone strikes and poverty. Needless to say, it wasn’t Monday’s major-party showdown; it was Tuesday’s third-party debate in Chicago, hosted by Larry King and the Free and Equal Elections organization Barack Obama and Mitt Romney did not participate. Instead, the Green Party’s Jill Stein, the Justice Party’s Rocky Anderson, the Constitution Party’s Virgil Goode and the Libertarian Party’s Gary Johnson held forth on topics that went unaddressed in the major-party debates.
