Iran Contra II

Christopher Hayes

That's what the Washington Monthly is calling the the bizarre case of a Pentagon official sharing intelligence with a sketchy Iranian arms smugglers and the Israeli government. I'm pretty confused by what the hell this all means, but it does seem clear that some people within the administration are doing their darndest to push the US into an all-out war with the mullahs in Iran. Why a small group of obsessive ideologues would think they'd be able to sucessully push the entire country into an ill-considered war is beyond me.
