Welcome to Duly Noted

Lindsay Beyerstein

Welcome to Duly Noted, a blog about politics, media, feminism, and culture. Watch this space for reactions to breaking news, book reviews, original photojournalism, discussions of scientific studies, and more.

I bring a skeptical sensibility and an offbeat sense of humor to my work. I like to dig beneath the surface of the day’s news to analyze the clashing values that give rise to conflicts.

I’m an investigative journalist by trade. Most of what I write here will be analysis of other people’s reporting, but I hope to do some original muckraking at Duly Noted as the presidential campaign heats up.

When I’m not blogging at In These Times, I’m either blogging for the Sidney Hillman Foundation (a nonprofit that honors excellence in progressive journalism) or working on freelance projects. If there’s time left in the day, I’m probably reading my Kindle at the gym, or cooking dinner in my Brooklyn apartment. Expect some food blogging at Duly Noted.

I look forward to reading your comments and building a Duly Noted community.
