Yesterday, countless Americans braved long lines and risked heat prostration to show their appreciation for homophobia by way of a Chick-Fil-A sandwich:
[A lady at the Northridge Chick-Fil-A] was one of many people who ventured to the restaurant to show support for Chick-fil-A, which drew criticism after chief executive Dan Cathy said in a recent interview he and his company were against gay marriage. The comments drew strong reactions as customers pledged to boycott the chain and some mayors proclaimed they would not allow Chick-fil-A to open within their cities.
In response, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee declared Wednesday “Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day,” calling on people to eat at the restaurant to show support. [LAT]
My foodie friends assure me that Chick-Fil-A sandwiches are the In-N-Out Burgers of the fried chicken world, the very pinnacle of fast food cravability.
So, what do you do if you love succulent crisp-fried breast meat atop a lightly toasted bun, topped with tangy pickle slices, but hate hate?
