NYC Event Tonight: WAM Prom II Electric Boogaloo

It’s the holiest day of the feminist year: WAM Prom Night.

Join DJs Amanda Marcotte and Marc Faletti for a night of original hip hop disco mashups at WAM Prom II Electric Boogaloo.

Dress code: Disco, hip hop, or an original mashup. Costume contest with fabulous prizes.

Bowery Poetry Club (308 Bowery, Manhattan, NY), 10:00pm ’til late, late, late.

Tickets $15 at the door.

All proceeds benefit the fabulous non-profit Women Action and the Media.

If Facebook RSVPs are any indication, the place will be packed. Come early to make sure you get in.

I’ll be there taking pictures. If you see someone in a floor-length blue sequin gown with a large white camera, that’s probably me. Come say “hi.”
